A new autumn exhibition has opened at Bretherick’s Flower Shop and Art Gallery, North Leeds showing exciting work by Louise Cunningham, Yan Preston and Kerry Mosely. Running until January 10th the exhibition combines textile art, illustration and photography that complement the shop’s range of seasonal flowers.

Louise Cunningham is a freelance artist and illustrator who creates bespoke illustrations for art and design companies across the UK. Bretherick’s is pleased to present a selection of Louise’s delightful botanical prints which with their strong colours and delicate line are a fusion of illustration and contemporary art.

Yan Preston is a commercial photographer and visual artist whose black and white photographs contrast strikingly with Louise’s linear illustrations. The exhibition shows a series of Yan’s fine art prints which demonstrate a sensitive and experimental approach to her floral subjects.

The Autumn Exhibition is the latest in a recent series of exhibitions at Brethericks that has sought to bring affordable high quality art to the general public. The exhibition will be marked by an open evening on November 28th, 5 – 7 pm where visitors are invited to come and enjoy the art and celebrate Christmas at Brethericks with festive refreshments.
